Loading any page of Verified Onion Index means you accept the terms set out below. If you disagree with any part of them, the correct response is to leave the site; continuing to browse counts as ongoing agreement.

What this directory is

Verified Onion Index is a research and documentation resource. It gathers descriptive material on Tor hidden services, darknet marketplace histories, escrow and PGP conventions, carding and fraud ecosystems, and published reporting on takedowns such as Operation Onymous and DisrupTor. Nothing here functions as a marketplace: we do not host listings, hold funds, act as escrow, or relay messages between parties. Entries are commentary assembled for journalists, academics, threat-intelligence analysts and general readers.

Permitted and prohibited conduct

• Use the site for reading, teaching, research and reporting.
• Do not use it to plan, arrange or solicit unlawful transactions, fraud services, or the exchange of illicit goods.
• Do not scrape, mirror or bulk-harvest the index, whether by crawler, script or manual extraction. Automated access is limited to the published rate limits, and we may throttle or block traffic that exceeds them.
• Do not attempt to disrupt the service, probe its infrastructure, or misrepresent your identity to gain access to restricted material.
• We do not offer technical assistance with acquiring prohibited goods or evading law enforcement.

Editorial content and ownership

The written analysis, annotations, layout and editorial assessments on this site belong to its operators. Short quotations with clear attribution are welcome and treated as fair use. Wholesale reproduction of the compiled index, or republishing it as your own dataset, is not.

No warranty

Everything is published as-is. Onion addresses rotate, markets exit-scam, and third-party claims reach us unverified. We make no promise of accuracy, currency, completeness or fitness for any particular purpose, and we correct errors on our own schedule rather than yours.

Limits on our responsibility

The material is offered for educational and informational purposes only, and you proceed at your own risk. We are not liable for decisions you take after reading it, for losses or legal consequences arising from your conduct, or for anything found on sites we merely describe or link. Where such exclusions are not permitted, our liability is capped at the minimum the law allows.

Changes to these terms

We may revise this page at any time without prior notice. The revised version takes effect when posted, and your continued use afterwards signifies acceptance of it. Check back occasionally if the details matter to you.

Governing law

These terms are interpreted under the laws applicable at the operators’ principal place of business, without reference to conflict-of-law rules. If a provision is held unenforceable, the remainder stays in force.
